Overview
The BSc (Hons) in Cyber Security course enables you to build upon your current experience in the field of computing – whether you’ve achieved qualifications in computing, or have practical experience, our 1-year top-up allows you to further develop your skills and gain a full degree.
Dive deeper into the world of cyber security and study a range of flexible modules that can be tailored to suit your goals and ambitions. You’ll be able to specialise in a range of areas such as forensic computing, cyber security, computer science, IoT development, distributed databases, networks and secure coding.
You’ll learn how to work independently and as a part of a team in complex, business-oriented environments that you’ll experience in the real world. Combine your current skills with industry frameworks, methodologies, tools and techniques that will prepare you to graduate career-ready into the world of computing.
Entry requirements

Applicants for Direct Entry to this top-up programme will be expected to have 240 credits or equivalent gained on a related programme such as Foundation Degree, HND or Advanced Diploma acceptable to the college.

Mature students without formal qualifications, but with appropriate experience, may be admitted to the course in-line with the University’s admission statement regarding mature students.

Students whose first language is not English will be required to show some evidence of appropriate English language proficiency

Mature students will also need to demonstrate how they will benefit from the programme through the submission of a personal statement.

Duration and delivery
The qualification may be completed over a minimum period of 12 months using a blended learning approach. Students will typically complete in 15 months.

Awarding Body
Students completing this programme will receive a Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business Management and a BSc (Hons) Computing award from Buckinghamshire New University or University of Gloucestershire.
